Submissions

At APG Press, we believe every story deserves a chance to be heard. We welcome submissions from authors, illustrators, and editors who share our passion for creativity, collaboration, and quality publishing.

For Authors

We accept manuscripts in the following categories:

 

  • Children’s Books (picture books, early readers)

  • Fiction (novellas, short story collections, full-length novels across genres)

  • Nonfiction & Memoir

  • Workbooks, Guides, and Self-Help

Submission Guidelines:

 

  • File Format: Word (.docx) or PDF.

  • Font & Spacing: Times New Roman, 12pt, double-spaced.

  • Length: Please see our [Submission Guidelines PDF] for minimum/maximum word counts by genre.

  • Cover Letter: Include a short bio, synopsis, and why you believe your book is a good fit for APG Press.

 

⏳ Timeline: Our standard review time is 6–8 weeks, though this may vary by project. Authors will be contacted directly if we wish to move forward.

 

 

For Illustrators & Designers

We are especially interested in illustrators for children’s books and designers for covers and interiors.

 

 

Submission Guidelines:

 

  • Portfolio: Submit 5–10 sample pieces (PDF or link to online portfolio).

  • Technical Requirements: Minimum 300 DPI, CMYK color, with bleed margins.

  • Style Consistency: Especially important for children’s books and series.

How to Submit

Please email your submission to submissions@apgpress.com

 

with the subject line:

“Submission – [Your Name] – [Book Title] – [Genre]”

 

You will receive an automatic confirmation email once your submission is received.

For Editors & Proofreaders

We occasionally expand our editorial team. If you’re interested in freelance editing with APG Press, please send:

  • Resume or CV.

  • A sample of prior editing work (before/after examples preferred).

  • A short note on your areas of expertise (fiction, nonfiction, children’s, etc.).

What We Do Not Accept

  • AI-only generated manuscripts or illustrations.

  • Plagiarized or previously published works (unless clearly stated and rights have reverted).

  • Works promoting hate speech, discrimination, or explicit harmful content.
